Google search results for other country: How to

Do you usually check your website Google positions just for your country? And what if you live in Great Britain and need to check your website rankings in USA Google results? How can you implement that without using any paid online services?

Actually there are two common ways to check the website ranking in another country Google search. On the one hand you may use Google Global Firefox Extension V2. But this method requires Firefox to be installed on your computer. Google search URL string contains several parameters pointing Google the definite regional area to implement search for. Manual changing of the Google search URL string let you see USA, Canada, Australia and any other country Google search results.

The country defining parameter of Google search URL string is gl. So if you wanna see the Great Britain search results just find this parameter in search URL string and change it to gb. For example:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&gl=us&q=seo+blog&cts=1247839291770&aq=2&oq=deposit+&aqi=g10

In this case gl=us, and you will get USA Google search results. Change this code to gb and you`ll get Great Britain search results.

All the country codes match the ISO standard. The basic codes are:

• Australia – au
• Great Britain – gb
• Germany – de
• Canada – ca

Also you are able to define the language for websites in Google search results. The language defining parameter is hl. So if you wanna find the SEO company in Australia with the website in English, just create the next Google search URL string:
