Quick question. I remember reading somewhere about a way to block those programs like s p y f u and other commercial programs that can crawl the site and provide a back link analysis. I think it was done in the htaccess file.
You mentioned something similar about owners closing their sites to Yahoo search spiders. Is this the same thing?

If you make it so Yahoo Site Explorer can&#039;t get to your site, doesn&#039;t this also prevent Yahoo from crawling your site for the purposes of indexing, or is that different?</description>
