Do you still use paid SEO services?

SEO is a thing where you just can`t avoid using online services or other special software to automate different necessary SEO tasks. For example let`s look through backlinks analysis. If you tried the method described in backlinks analysis tips, you might have noticed that working just through Yahoo Site Explorer is a very “long story” and in any case you have to use other online services to obtain the linking websites SEO parameters.

But free online services usually have very limited functionality, e.g. most of them don`t let you save results to excel, so there is no convenient way to analyze them. Thus such simple and necessary operation like backlinks analysis cause you use some paid services to get desired results convenient for further analysis.

The similar situation is about competition analysis: free tools can`t provide enough functionality and you have to pay for result. Is there any way to perform professional SEO without using paid services? The answer is – YES – CERTAINLY! We just have to understand that any service is just an ordinary script implementing definite algorithm. Is the algorithm too sophisticated? I don`t think so. Let us imagine the standart algorithm of backlink analyzer use. So it consists of 2 main steps:

1. obtaining backlinks for your website through Yahoo Site Eplorer results parcing;
2. getting SEO parameters (pr,age,etc.) for every linking website;

Is it too difficult? The script based on these steps could be simply implemented using PHP. If you don`t know what is PHP, you may just hire freelancer to create the script (it will cost you about 50-100USD for such backlinks analyzer).

In the same way you can create your own competition analysis instrument, keyword tracker and even synonymizer. And take a notice that these tools will include all the needed functionality and will be totally free for you.

And I`d like to ask my readers – what online services or tools do you use in your everyday SEO practice?
